I think it’s good for the business, it’s gets more people involved witht the music. If the man dem want to use hip hop beats let dem do it. Music is music, the last thing we should do is try to define reggae music. Cause when you start to define it, you limit it and reggae music is limitless. Jah=Love

Every type of music goes though some sort of evolution. It seems as if right now reggae music, dancehall in particular, is going throught a transition. A lot more rnb type songs coming out, that isn’t such a bad thing. Has any one thought of the positives? Like new lovers of the music being brought in. Can we stop arguing what’s good for reggae. Isn’t it suppose to be music that brings people together?

This short of thing has been going on in reggae music for a while now. The fact is when Americans start to vibe to the music, the artist get rich. The easiest way to do that is to make American friendly music or as i call it “bullshit”!

That’s why I don’t listen too all the hypeness. It’s all about who can make the next big dance move. Groups like Morgan Heritage don’t get the credit they deserve. Everyone want to be on MTV and BET with all dis watered down garbage. Like the youth said above everything is money, money, money!!

Vibes you couldn’t be more right on this one. Firts of all you got one dude that wants to be 2-pac and another that wants to be T-pain(I aint naming no names). These days moneys talks and it’s easier to mimic someone elses style than come out with your own original stuff.

I understand where ur coming from Junor Vibes. You hear a lot of hip hop and rnb samples now days. I think they’re just looking for a quick hit, as opposed to making good music for the people. But I guess thats just the progressiong of the music?
